Register for Blues Week
Registration is open.
Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration remains open until all classes are full.
Structure
Your registration includes a full three-day immersion in the Blues.
Each morning, you’ll settle into one major course with a single instructor, building skill and momentum day by day. Afternoons open into a rotating series of minor workshops led by various instructors, giving you space to explore new styles and techniques.
Lunch and dinner are provided at Sea Breeze Lodge each day, along with tickets to the evening events.
Fees
The total cost for the 2026 program is $850.
Once your registration is reviewed and your classes are confirmed, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to submit payment online, by e-transfer, or in cash.
Registration is first-come, first-served, and class sizes are intentionally small. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
Please wait to submit payment until you receive your official confirmation. If musician lineups or schedules shift due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ll contact you right away with updated details. For questions about payment, please reach out to info@hornbyblues.bcca.
Financial Support
We offer a limited number of bursaries and scholarships to low income students.
Requirements
These are not beginner-level classes. Our workshops are designed to support aspiring and established musicians to develop their skills and advance their techniques. To benefit from our courses, you must be comfortable playing your instrument and have a fundamental understanding of music theory. You should be able to recognize and count rhythms, have knowledge of basic scales, understand simple intervals and turnarounds, and know about 8-bar and 12-bar chord progressions.
If you need help assessing your skill level please email holly@hornbyblues.ca with your questions.
