How do I get to Hornby Island?
Hornby is two ferries from Vancouver Island. If you’re coming from the Lower Mainland it’s best to get to Nanaimo. From there you travel about an hour to Buckley Bay. The first ferry brings you to Denman Island which you will cross with the rest of the ferry traffic. Then you are on a ferry to Hornby Island.
The ferries run every hour on the hour and if you catch the 2 pm ferry at Buckley Bay you will land on Hornby about 3 pm.
